Now lets talk ratings….
This series which Boston leads, 2-1 has been a major success
for both the league as well as the network.
The ratings just keep getting better
each time they play.
NBC aired Chicago's epic 4-3 triple overtime win in game 1
and it drew 6.4 million viewers giving the network an
overall win for the night. Games 2 and 3 moved over to NBC Sports Network and
as expected NBC got the desired result. Game 3 had nearly 4.01 million viewers,
the second highest audience ever on the NBC Sports Network (U.S./Japan Gold
Medal Olympic soccer game had 4.4 million viewers), and an all-time high for
hockey. Boston bested Chicago 2-0.
Game 2 on Saturday did not quite draw the super numbers of
game 3 but the 3.964 million viewers who watched the Bruins 2-1 overtime win
was a welcome site to both the network and the league..
