Fox, ESPN and NBC Sports have CONCACAF and MLS action

Good weekend of quality soccer with CONCACAF and MLS taking center stage starting tonight and ending Sunday. Tonight at 11 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network will have lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White will call the U.S. vs. Guatemala game. He will be will be joined by analyst Kyle Martino and host Russ Thaler at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

Saturday we it is MLS getting some national attention again on NBC Sports Network at 11 p.m. ET. The game features  Whitecaps vs. Seattle Sounders and will mark the debut of John Strong as lead MLS play-by-play voice.Strong will be joined by analyst Robbie Earle and host Russ Thaler. The trio will be on hand in Seattle.

Sunday we have a tripleheader of soccer starting with ESPN and it will be another MLS match – up with Chicago vs. Sporting KC. The start time from a steamy Kansas City with the game to start at 3 p.m. ET.

The best soccer of the weekend will take place on Fox Soccer Sunday night. It is the start of the, FOX Sports Media Group televises all 25 matches of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

It begins with a doubleheader opener live Sunday, 5 p.m. on FOX Soccer, as Canada takes on Martinique followed by Mexico vs. Panama at 7:30 p.m. ET. Gus Johnson calls the action from Mexico’s first match live from Pasadena’s Rose Bowl, with analysis from Cobi Jones. Rob Stone hosts on-site pregame, halftime and postgame coverage with analysts Eric Wynalda and Warren Barton.


So soccer fans will have a full holiday weekend of both MLS and international soccer.
