MLB All stars named Saturday night on FOX

We have a full weekend of baseball action as you might expect as we put a cap on the 4th of July holiday weekend. Tonight things get underway as the MLB Network offers a key AL Central division showdown as Detroit visits Cleveland in a battle for 1st place. Game time is 7 p.m. and if you have not seen the Tribe play yet, it will be worth your time.

Saturday is the big 2013 MLB All-Star Selection Show Saturday, July 6  at 6:30 PM ET, announcing the starting lineups and reserves for the American and National League team rosters. The selection show is hosted by Matt Vasgersian and  it will come from the MLB Network studio.

MLB’s All-Star Balloting Program is the largest of its kind in professional sports, and last year produced a record-shattering total of 40.2 million ballots cast. The 84th MLB All-Star Game will be played at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets, on Tuesday, July 16 on FOX Sports with pregame coverage beginning at 7:30 PM ET.  It will be interesting to see if the fans will get to see the young stars, the Dodgers Yasiel Puig and the Nationals Bryce Harper.
